System

  • Inverter: Sol-Ark 15K-2P-N, 120/240 V split phase, ~12 kW continuous off-grid
  • Batteries: 4 × Fortress eFlex 5.4 kWh = 21.6 kWh. Batteries limit sustained output to ~11.5 kW (4 × 60 A).
  • Solar: 18 × Heliene 320 W ≈ 5.8 kW. Park with the ridge running north–south.

Solar strings

2West side6

Strings: 6–10 panels. Never mix faces in one series string (~25% loss). Expect ~240 V open-circuit per 6-panel string on a mild day; never over 500 V.

AC power

Sol-Ark LOAD → 1/0 copper ×3 + 8 AWG ground in 1-1/4" liquid-tight (3–4 ft) → Midwest U055C010P outlet panel.

Sol-Ark GRID terminals stay empty (the 4 AWG feeder relies on the inverter limiting current). Exactly one neutral–ground bond. If the Sol-Ark bonds internally, remove the outlet panel's bonding screw.

Neutral–ground bond

Standalone (well, outlets): the trailer is the source, so neutral is bonded to ground on the trailer, in one place only. For the house, use a transfer switch that also switches the neutral, so the trailer stays bonded and nobody has to change anything.

Battery DC

4 equal-length 1/0 pairs → busbar → Class T 300 A → 2 × 2/0 pairs to the Sol-Ark. CAN comms daisy-chained, terminator in the last battery, first battery → Sol-Ark BMS port.
